About me
Hello! I'm Mushtaba. I was born and raised in Brooks, Alberta, Canada until I moved to Calgary later in my life. I am currently pursuing a dual degree in Software Engineering and Finance at the University of Calgary. My journey in technology and finance has been driven by a deep-rooted passion for both fields, which I've been fortunate to explore and integrate into my academic pursuits. My goal is simple yet ambitious: to leverage technology to create solutions that enhance efficiency and positively impact lives.
Academically, I've delved into diverse subjects ranging from Software Architecture and Performance Evaluation, to Investments and Corporate Finance. This multidisciplinary approach has equipped me with a robust skill set poised to tackle real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to society. I have experience ranging from a front-end web developer for AASEE, to being a mentor and teaching Python fundamentals to students at Schulich Ignite, to more recently, being placed in a work-integrated learning environment where I gained experience as a Software Engineer, developing a custom web based solution for querying historical data from IoT devices, significantly improving data fetch performance for a Calgary-based company, Network Innovations.
Beyond programming and finance, I find joy in playing and watching basketball with friends, as well as following combat sports like boxing, MMA, and wrestling.
As I continue to grow both personally and professionally, I am eager to apply my skills and passion to make a tangible difference in the world.
